Water Treatment Plant Open House

On Monday, November 10, the City of Wilmore will be hosting an Open House at our Water Treatment Plant.
This is an opportunity for anyone in the Wilmore community to come out and see where and how the water is pumped from the Kentucky River, treated at the plant and then distributed to our customers.

We will not only showcase the treatment plant and many of the projects we have undertaken over the last two years, but we will also discuss the water system's future in relation to growth in and around Wilmore.

The Open House will begin at 5:00 PM at the water treatment plant located on W. Linden St. (beside the fire station).  First, we will take a drive all the way down to the Kentucky River to our river pump station, and then meet again at the treatment plant by 6:00 for a tour of the facility.

Given that it requires 4-wheel drive vehicles to get to the river, it is necessary that anyone wishing to be a part of the 5:00 trip to the river call the treatment plant at 858-4711 before Monday the 10th at noon so we can make transportation arrangements.  If no one answers at the treatment plant, please leave your name and the number of people in your party on the answering machine.
