Welcome to Wilmore's newest police officer
Daryl Price
Wilmore's newest police officer is Daryl Price of Nicholasville. Daryl comes to us from the Jessamine County Sheriff's Department where he served for over eight years. Public service is a tradition in the Price family. Daryl's father and grandfather were both fire chiefs.
Daryl and his wife Kimberly are both Jessamine County natives. They have two sons, Joseph, 14, and Nicholas, 11. Summertime Saturdays will find them involved in little league, with Daryl serving as umpire.
In July Daryl expects to attend Kentucky's Police Academy in Richmond for further training. He has already gone through the Sheriff's Academy.
Although he has been a part of Wilmore's Police Department for only a short time, Daryl says he really enjoys being here and that he is "looking forward to working in Wilmore a long, long time."
