In July the Wilmore City Council:
- In July, the Wilmore City Council:
- Met with the developers of Woodspointe subdivision on the site
to observe improve-ments that have been made, particularly in the
retention areas. (A subsequent site visit has been scheduled for
August 11.)
- Negotiated with Press Veal and Dennis Smith, Woodspointe
developers, regarding minimum house sizes in two new proposed
developments adjacent to Woodspointe, Butler and The Meadow
subdivisions. A total of 53 new homes are proposed. Seven homes
are to be a minimum of 1200 square feet. Eleven homes are
designated with a 1350 square foot minimum and 35 homes are to
have a minimum of 1500 square feet.
- Accepted the generous offer of the Wilmore Women's Club to
give the city $1,000 toward the landscaping of the median on
Epworth Drive at North Lexington Avenue.
- Entered into an agreement with Bluegrass Conservancy attorney
Alice Lumpkin to prepare a sample conservation easement for the
city's rural transitional zone.
- Requested that central dispatch notify the Wilmore Police
Department of all calls relating to problems with dogs.
