The Christmas season in Wilmore transformed a pretty little town into a beautiful, decorated showplace. Over 500 homes, businesses, churches and school buildings were involved to transform Wilmore into a beautiful town. Thank you for taking the time and working so hard to make our town so wonderfully attractive. The angels lining part of Main Street and Lexington Avenue were provided by residents to honor or remember family and friends. Each angel cost $50.00, including lighting and installation. One friend of Wilmore purchased 20 angels for $1000.00 in memory or in honor of someone to beautify along Lexington Avenue. A small sign is attached to each angel indicating who the angel honors and a plaque will be located at City Hall for a permanent display. If you would like to be a part of this next year, please let me know or contact Betty Price at the Community Service Center. We would also like to have your suggestions, thoughts, ideas and feedback on the Old Fashioned Musical Celebration on the first Saturday in December. Some questions that are under discussion are:

  1. Should we have a live Nativity?
  2. How can we encourage more people to be involved?
  3. Should the hours be changed?
  4. Should we have more or fewer open houses?
  5. Is food necessary at open houses?
  6. How can we better showcase our businesses?
  7. How can we better involve our churches and schools?
  8. Should we recognize businesses and home with "Best Decorated" awards?
  9. What did you enjoy most?
  10. What did you enjoy least? Drop me a line and tell me what you think!
