Welcome to the 21st Annual
Wilmore’s Old-Fashioned Musical Christmas
December 4, 2010
Entire day filled with activities for all ages. Local businesses and musicians will be showcased throughout the evening. All events are free and open to the public and will remain on schedule regardless of the weather. Restrooms available in the churches.
Come greet the season and share the spirit of Christmas with community friends and families. Merry Christmas!
7-11am Wilmore Lions Club Annual Pancake Breakfast “dedicated to the memory of Harlet Curtsinger”– Wilmore Elementary School.
$4 each, preschoolers $1.
8am-1pm Model Train Display-Wilmore Elementary library. Jessamine Co. Public Library will also hold a kids' story time in the WES library at 8am, 9am & 10am featuring The Polar Express.
9am-3pm Homemade Christmas Craft Fair – Asbury Seminary Gym. Craft displays, live music, international cuisine & children’s craft table.
9am-4pm Ten Thousand Villages & Craft Fair – Wilmore Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Handicrafts from around the world.
9am-4pm Great Impressions Printing & Scrapbooking- Holiday Extravaganza open house.
11-4pm Chapman's Antiques – Christmas Open House.
11:30-3:30pm Complimentary Horse Carriage Rides – Round trip from Mt. Freedom Baptist Church parking lot. Special thank you to First Southern National Bank, sponsor of the Horse Carriage Rides.
1pm Wilmore Christian Ballet presents : Christmas Joy! Eternal Joy!. Act 1: A mini-Nutcracker; Act 2: Come Worship the King – Celebrate the birth of Christ. Wilmore Elementary School. Free admission.
1-4pm Bethel Pointe Clubhouse – refreshments by the homeowners.
1-4pm Pedersen Chiropractic – Christmas Open House (new business).
4-7:00pm Community Service Center of Wilmore / High Bridge Benefit. Wilmore United Methodist Church basement. Bid on the silent auction items and eat your evening meal here to help support an organization that gives so much to the community. Entertainment by Corey Cantrell. $4–chili dog, chips & drink.
5:00pm Elf Costume Contest – Meet in the Wilmore UMC basement for judging and prizes. Special thanks to Wilmore Day Care for sponsoring this event.
5:30pm Tree Lighting Ceremony – Wilmore United Methodist Church parking lot on Main Street. Prizes awarded to winners of Elf Costume Contest and the Best Decorated Homes. A special visitor is scheduled to arrive.
Seasonal Music – Performed by the Salvation Army Brass Band under the direction of Dr. Ron Holz.
6-7:45pm Local Businesses Open and Serving Refreshments –
Featuring local musicians to celebrate the holidays.
* Special note – Local businesses will be serving light refreshments only. If you are interested in a full meal, please plan on eating at the CSC Benefit.
8:00 pm Grand Finale – Wilmore United Methodist Church. All-Town Choir & Salvation Army Student Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Ron Holz.
Special thanks to the Wilmore Fire Department and Santa for all the special treats. Santa will be located at Wilmore Presbyterian Church after the Tree Lighting. Please plan on visiting the businesses on that end of town also.
