The Wilmore-High Bridge Community Service Center has been assisting community residents for over 25 years. The Needs Assistance program helps income-eligible clients with basic living necessities such as food, shelter, utility assistance, medical assistance and transportation. The Center also helps elderly and disabled clients with home maintenance repairs to keep their dwellings safe and accessible.
All CSC services are contingent on available funds. Partial funding is provided through the Center’s thrift store, Attic Treasures, which offers clothing and household items for a nominal fee. Financial donations and gifts of good used clothing or household items are always welcomed.
The community Service Center serves approximately 40 families per month through the Food Pantry. We are a member agency of God’s Pantry Food Bank. Over the past year the amount of government commodities available for distribution from the food bank has been drastically reduced, forcing us to purchase more of the items for our food pantry. Financial donations to help keep our pantry stocked are always welcome.
Our community is growing, and we don’t foresee a reduction in the need for our services any time in the near future. We are thankful for the caring community members, churches and other groups that help us to meet the needs that arise.

The Community Service Center of Wilmore-High Bridge is a non-profit agency that identifies and assists clients in need in emergency situations. It is the goal of the Center to keep families in their homes by helping them avoid or overcome an emergency situation.
Services provided:
Rental Assistance, utility assistance, food pantry, medical assistance, transportation for clients, clothing and household bank, home service projects, referral to other agencies as needed, other projects as needed.
THERE IS NO COST TO THE CLIENT FOR ANY OF THESE SERVICES.
ALL SERVICES ARE DEPENDENT UPON AVAILABLE FUNDS AT THE TIME.
Eligibility: Eligibility requirements apply, although each case is given discretionary consideration depending upon the situation.
Free Panera Bread each Saturday-Volunteers pick up fresh bread on Friday evenings and deliver it to the Center for clients.
Home Service Projects- Everything from painting garages to installing hand railings, raking leaves, and general house cleaning for clients were a few of the home service projects arranged by the Community Service Center in 2007, and carried out by various volunteer groups.
Clothing and Household Bank: Many clients receive items from our clothing and household bank for a variety of reasons: job interviews, scrubs for nursing students, international students who cannot bring much with them, and many more situations.
There are house fires and floods, leaving families with little; we try to help them with some of the items they need.
Lunch Bunch- Volunteers currently deliver lunch from the local IGA deli to 6-8 clients Monday through Saturday. These clients are either homebound or unable to prepare food for themselves. The cost of the meal for which the client pays is small compared to the relief and comfort that their care-giving, working family receives, knowing that their loved one has a warm lunch every day.
Thrift Store- Attic Treasures provides many household items and lots of clothing at very nominal prices so that our clients will have access to the items they need at prices they can afford. The store is run by volunteers, and proceeds from sales go right back into the assistance program.
